New Subscription Site Overview

Our new subscription site includes the features of the old site, plus enhancements and additional new features.

Along with visible new features, we've written from scratch a new document management system that now holds over 1 million documents that you can search instantly.

Our new site takes advantage of technology found in the latest web browsers. Web browsers like Firefox 3.5 and Google Chrome can load pages and documents nearly instantly, greatly increasing productivity.

If you would like a walk through of the new site to see the new features, please click here to view the Webinar.

Changes to Document Searching

search results With our document management system handling over a million documents now; we've worked hard, bought additional server hardware which has created the ability for users to search all those documents with the ease of just entering a search term and clicking search.

Users no longer need to chose document types to search anymore, our new document management system searches every document in less than a second!

Search results are now shown to the right of each document type. Clicking on the search result count, takes you to view the search results.

On each document type is a book icon which will take you directly to the documents for that document type. Clicking on the Advanced Search icon will take you to an advanced search page for that document type.

Multi Language Documents

A new feature we have is the ability to have the same document in multiple languages. View Canadian documents in English and French, see the Mexican HTS in Spanish and English. Look for the language code button at the top right of the documents. In the future, we plan on adding additional content from sources outside the United States.

Research Tools

search results We have consolidated our various research tools under the Research Tools tab. We still have the research tools, we've just organized them under one page. We've also added additonal information about the tools and give example data for you to try out on the tools to see how they work.

Note for Internet Explorer 6 users

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 was released in 2001. Microsoft has since released IE7 and IE8. The newer versions of IE along with other new internet browsers, like Firefox 3.5 and Google Chrome, have features that allow us to deliver a richer and more productive experience.

We have made efforts to make sure that IE6 users will be able to work with the new Subscription site, but the performance of the new subscription site will be poor compared to newer browsers.

Just upgrading to IE7 will double the speed of the new site. Switching to a browser like FireFox 3.5 or Google Chrome will allow pages and documents to load near instantly.

We highly recommend users use IE8, FireFox 3.5 or Google Chrome to get the best performance from our new subscription site.
