Box 725, Edgefield, SC 29824; Order Denying Export Privileges On June 27, 2017, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Luis Antonio Urdaneta Pozo (“Pozo”) was convicted of violating Section 38 of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2778 (2012)) (“AECA”). Specifically, Pozo was convicted of knowingly and willfully exporting from [[Page 53030]] the United States to Venezuela items designated as defense articles on the United States Munitions List, namely, handguns and ammunition of various calibers, without the required U.S. Department of State licenses. Pozo was sentenced to 63 months in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
