As we approach the end of the year, tariff schedule updates are once again on the horizon. Many regions including the US, Canada, the EU, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Hong Kong, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and others typically release their annual import and export tariffs in December.
China traditionally releases updates in January, but timing and details can be less predictable due to the complexity of its tariff structure.
The key takeaway:
No specific release date can be confirmed for any one country right now. However, based on historical patterns, we can anticipate similar timelines and processes to those seen in previous years.
Our review of tariff updates from the past three years provides a reliable basis for making these general projections.
We also expect to receive the EU Combined Nomenclature (8-digit) updates and correlation tables in November. As always, we will continue to distribute updates and share expected changes as early as possible through both the Industry Blog and our Friday email updates.
