| SUMMARY: The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) is amending the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) by removing eight (8) persons from the Unverified List (“UVL”) and correcting the name for one (1) person currently listed on the UVL. The eight persons are removed from the UVL on the basis that BIS was able to verify their bona fides because of an end-use check. DATES: This rule is effective: June 27, 2019. | SUMMARY: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is giving concurrent notice of a reissued system of records pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974 for the “Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)-022 Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS) System of Records and this proposed rulemaking. DHS/CBP previously issued a Final Rule to exempt this system of records from certain provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974 on November 25, 2016, and codified in the Code of Federal Regulations. This regulation remains in effect until a new Final Rule becomes effective. DHS/CBP is reissuing a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to expand the applicability of the previously issued exemptions from the Privacy Act of 1974 to account for modified routine uses and expanded categories of individuals described in the concurrently issued SORN. | SUMMARY: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is proposing to construct primary pedestrian barrier within the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) in Starr County, Texas, including within the cities of Roma, Escobares, La Grulla, Rio Grande City, and the census-designated place of Salineno, Texas (the Affected Areas). CBP is requesting comments on its proposal to locate and construct primary pedestrian barrier in the Affected Areas as required by section 232(b) of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019. CBP is also seeking input on potential impacts to the environment, historical preservation, culture, quality of life, and commerce, including socioeconomic impacts from the construction of primary pedestrian barrier in the Affected Areas.
