New updates published this week:
- China CN – only changes are to the “IQ” codes ( regulation data ). No HS or duty changes. C9 – new 13 digit codes and descriptions.
- Bosnia – BA 2023 Tariff
- Cameroon – CM Tax fix. Still an old tariff.
- Mexico – MX – Duty reductions from DOF 22/11/2021. These should have been effective already, so no change in tariff date. Chapter 72/73.
- Brazil Duty rate adjustment – not a true tariff update. Descartes determined that we needed to change how we were evaluating duty rates in Brazil. In the past we had been using the highest rate for an 8 digit HS code if there were “ex-tarifario” rates specified. These are additional regulations beyond the HS that could have an effect on the rate. This was causing too much confusion because the “base” rate listed by Brazil customs would be different from Descartes data. We are now just using the base rate and adding a note for cases when other rates may exist.
Note GTS files may not have been created for all of these, but they are in progress.
